University - Industry collaboration activities are carried out by ARPROGED in two alternative ways. In the first way, project proposals from industrial enterprises are evaluated. The entire project proposals submitted to ARPROGED undergoes a preliminary examination. If the proposal is decided favorable after preliminary examination, project development meetings are conducted between industrial enterprise representatives and related faculty members. If the step towards to collaboration is decided; ARPROGED support them to identify appropriate funding, preparing proposal and completing project application.

In the second way, evaluation of transfering the new ideas and technologies, which were developed as a results of academic studies carried out by Okan University’s research works, to the industry is undertaken to locate industrial enterprises for the implementation of these new ideas and technologies. Applied methods and support services are provided when the proper industrial enterprise is found.

Acquisitions activities are started for the projects approved and confirmed by industrial enterprises and preparing contract and discussions for intellectual property rights with project management support provided by ARPROGED.
